Sorry it's been a while all you Sebastian fans out there, but it's been a crazy couple a weeks. Apparently he takes after his pop and doesn't like to sleep too much. :)

Sebastian's First Week

Man. What a week! Heather's B-day was on Sunday and that was pretty fun. Everyone just came over and we had some yummy Pasta Bella grub. I had bought Heather a cake the night before, but I didn't tell anyone so we had 3 cakes. Sebastian had fun hangin with the fam too! It was a little weird having so many people over and having no sleep. I tell ya, I'm beginning to wonder about the phrase "sleep like a baby."

On Monday Sebastian went to the doctor for his well-baby checkup and the doc says he's perfect. :) I couldn't agree more. I love that baby boy!

The next few days were quite a blur. Sleep for a couple hours, wake up, change baby, rock baby, sleep for 10 minutes, rock baby, sleep, wake up an hour later...oh it's time for work. Oh well, a couple toothpicks and I'll be able to stay awake. Heather (Sebastian's 24 hour milk drive-thru) of course, had even less sleep. She's amazing!

On Thursday Jim and Dani came over to see the baby Hobey. They are so sweet. They brought us pizza, salad, and a bottle of 12 year Jameson mmmmm (I think that was for me).

Hello everyone! Well we've made it thus far. After sleepless nights and crazy days I think we're finally getting a routine down and one thing's for sure; Sebastian loves milk. :)




Sebastian met his cousin Jack the other night. It was funny to see Jack's reaction, an instant grab for his cousin.

I'm finally here!

Well so much for beanbug' s blog! Sebastian's finally here and it's a lot more fun to talk about him when we can actually see what he's doing.

Sebastian Luc Jacobo was born on October 8th, 2008 at 1:19am. He was 7lbs. 8oz. and super cute of course. :) His hair is really dark like his papa's and he looks like a Jacobo.

Heather went au naturale for this one folks. No drugs whatsoever! She's amazing if you ask me. Heather started having light contractions at about 3pm on the 7th and she texted me at around 5:30 telling me that I should come home "this could be it." I didn't really believe her, but I came home soon after. I turned on the prez debate and had the leftovers from my b-day dinner. Mmmmm...calzone. Then I noticed Heather was doing breathing techniques; uh-oh.

She decided to take a hot shower and when she got out she was like "we should go soon." I still wasn't sure we should be going yet, she didn't seem like she was in pain. So I got the stuff and myself ready for what was to be a long night.

We get to the hospital, head up to the baby center, get our room and when the nurse finally examines Heather she says, "you rock!" Heather says, "what?"

"You're 8cm!"

Soon after the contractions intensify. After about 3 hours her water finally breaks. Then we get down to business. Heather lies on the table (she had been standing through all her contractions) and begins to push. Twenty of the most amazing minutes of my life go by and out comes the most precious thing I've ever seen. My firstborn son!

He's perfect! And so the story begins...
